Conner walked downstairs and looked at Aaron.
"So...want anything for breakfast? I'm a good cook."
Conner was wearing blue destroyed jeans, black Vans, a white shirt, and his 'signature' black denim jacket.

He smiled.
"Thank you, so do you."
He hugged Aaron back.
"How about I whip us up some chocolate chip waffles? You can just sit here and watch whatever and I'll whip 'em up and bring them out here and we can watch tv. Sound good?"
He asked, hoping Aaron wouldn't think he was trying to dominate, waffles was just the first thing that came to his mind.

He smiled and nodded.
"Okay, then. Waffles it is."
He turned and walked into the kitchen.
"God, how the hell do you make waffles?"
He looked around and set two plates down.
"Okay, um...Help me make what I alone should, give me some chocolate chip waffles and make them good."
The waffles appeared on their plates and he smiled.
"Worked like a charm."
He grabbed some maple syrup and took it all out to the living room, completely not caring about personal gain. The worst that could happen was for it to rain chocolate chip waffles, and he wouldn't mind that.
"Ta da..."

"Huh...Spongebob, huh?"

He shrugged.
"I'm a genius. Okay, so I cast a spell to make them, but I highly doubt anything bad could come from it. It's waffles."

He smiled.
"So are you."
He finished his waffles.
"Okay, so do you want to go out and look around the town first or learn some fighting moves to a montage featuring the 'Everybody was Kung-Fu Fighting' song first?"

He smiled.
"Okay. Let's go out to the backyard though. I don't wanna break anything."
He took Aaron's hand and led him out to the back. He waved his hand and some basic fighting training equipment shimmered in.
"It's a power. Pretty cool, huh?"
He looked at Aaron.
"Okay, I want you to go up to the punching dummy over there, which can also be used for kicking. Don't focus on your powers, focus on your body, okay? Your powers are tied to your emotions and if anger or pain triggers it, then you gotta let it out in a more physical way so your powers don't. Think about the things all of those people did to you back in Missouri. Remember everything. Now the dummy is the one person in Missouri who teased you the most. Punch him, Aaron. He's gonna punch you and you have anger just waiting to knock him out."
He was trying to find out what Aaron was capable of alone before he went on to teach him anything.

He then threw his hands up and froze the flames. He then walked up to Aaron.
"Look. You can fight...you just have to learn how to control your power before you turn people into tiki torches."

He wrapped his arms around Aaron and pulled him close.
"It's okay. Maybe I shouldn't have used that for an example. I was just trying to get you to let some steam out, okay? I didn't mean to hurt you. I think before I teach you anything we're gonna have to teach you have to control your powers, okay?"

"Aaron, it's not your fault. You kept it all pent up for so long. That's what happens. I was actually planning on that to happen-your powers activating. Let's go out and shop and go around the town, okay? Take your mind off of it. I'll try to teach you when we go to get lunch, okay?"
He ran his hands through Aaron's hair and the equipment, along with the fire, disappeared.
"See? It's gone."

"I'll always be here, Aaron. Now, I think I have someone who can help us deal with your powers. Come on."
He led Aaron into the house by the hand.
"Mom?! I need your help in the kitchen!"
